How do I know if I should repair or just replace it?

Rough rule of thumb: if the damage is concentrated in roughly a quarter of the surface or less, and the rest of the pavement is structurally healthy, repair is the right call. If you've got widespread alligatoring, deep ruts, or drainage failures across the whole surface, you're throwing money at patches and the better spend is a tear-out. We'll walk it with you and give you the honest answer.

How long should the patch actually hold up?

A proper saw-cut patch with hot mix should give you three to seven years or more, depending on traffic. Crack sealing buys you a couple of years per application and is meant to be reapplied as part of regular maintenance. Cheap cold patches measure their lifespan in months.

Will you come out for just a few small repairs?

Yes. We do small section work all the time. A handful of potholes, a stripe of bad asphalt at the curb cut, or a sunken catch basin doesn't have to mean a big project. Call us and we'll fit it in.

Why do my potholes keep coming back in the same spots?

Almost always because the base underneath has failed and the surface patches keep getting pushed up and broken. The fix isn't another patch on top, it's cutting deeper, rebuilding the base material, and then putting a real patch over it. We'll show you the difference during the walkthrough.
